PURPOSE STATEMENT |
School Ministries Inc. of Florida exists to teach public school students the Bible, while maintaining the integrity of the scriptures and viewing the growth of reading comprehension and social skills without interjecting opinions or social and denominational biases. We also will strive to teach and equip local evangelical, doctrinally sound
churches to pursue and operate Released Time Bible Education at a school nearest to them.

LONG TERM GOALS |
1. Released time policy adopted in Duval County in 2009.
2. At least one Released Time ministry running in Duval County for 2010-2011 school year.
3. Working with churches in Duval County to inspire interest in Released Time ministry in 2009.
4. Working with churches in Baker County to inspire interest in Released Time ministry in 2010.

BIO |
I was introduced to Released Time Bible Education in the fall of 2005 by Rev. Jason Williams, the Florida State Dir. for School Ministries Inc. at the time, when he presented the program at my church, Family Bible Church. He was led to start the ministry here on Florida
because there was no active released time ministries here. I have been working with church youth for over 20 years, first in my former church in N.J. and now here with FBC in Florida since 2002. I also have over 15 years teaching experience with the fire service in N.J. These two areas seemed to fit well with the released time concept. I talked to Jason about working with him in the ministry and found out more about what it entailed.
I attended a School Ministries Conference in South Carolina in March of 2006 and while there was truly inspired by the testimony of people I met while attending the home going
of Margaret Bridges, a women who was instrumental in starting a released time ministry there and was also instrumental in getting Jason
involved. I was appointed as State Coordinator for School Ministries Inc. of Florida in September 2008. |
